This post is about Kakkakundu, a hill village of Ilular tribe near Kotagiri in Nilgiri district.Only 8 families live in this village located in the Dolphin's Nose scenic valley.The village is located in the middle of a dense forest, passing through a very dangerous and steep mountain pass.This area is home to many wild animals such as tigers, leopards,bears and elephants.Forest work and honey beet collection are their occupations.
