After filming, I talked to the homeowner of the first one featured and he planted it over 20 years ago! This means the lowest temp seen was -11.9° F in 2015. Over that 20 year span the average annual lowest temp has been 1.8° F.

The two stands in Spring Grove Cemetery (especially the first one) have definitely seen a minimum low temp even lower than that!

Could one of these also be the Ohio state champion as well?!
