A simple handling, imbued with love and faith. I drew inspiration from all that constitutes a part of my life and my tastes. The process was arduous, grappling with questions of honour and integrity, how to do justice to the band and to Edgar’s work, as well as with more technical considerations. There were moments in which I felt constrained, though I strove to achieve the slightest degree of perfection and cohesion.

I suspect that much of my audience will not fully grasp the ideas and conception I sought to convey; this is not arrogance, but a genuine recognition of the challenges inherent in such an endeavour. Fortunately, many will nonetheless be moved, forging their own interpretations of the project, a prospect I value greatly.

London is, in all likelihood, my boldest and most purely creative project, the greatest amalgamation of all that I could conceive and comprehend as pleasing within a simple but dedicated framework.

Tyger (1987) – Tangerine Dream
