dbrownconsulting and the Financial Modeling Institute (Canada) have partnered to launch the Financial Modeling Academy, an Academy offering a scholarship program aimed at providing financial modeling training and accreditation to a vast number of students and professionals resident in Africa (excluding South Africa). The goal of this initiative is to upskill participants, making them globally competitive in the industry and positioning them to earn a better living through career advancement.

What the Financial Modeling Academy has to offer?

Financial modeling is a highly valuable and practical skill in the finance industry. Technical skills and a strong understanding of financial modeling are required for numerous careers worldwide. This is due to the critical role financial forecasting plays in decision-making for various scenarios, whether it be analyzing a company's financial position or assessing an asset's potential.

Numerous areas necessitate proficient technical skills and extensive financial modeling knowledge, including Accounting, Corporate/Commercial Banking, Private Debt, Investment Banking, Private Equity etc. The Financial Modeling Academy is a rigorous six-week course that equips participants with the necessary skills to excel as world-class financial modelers.

The scholarship covers up to 92% of the original price of $2,841, depending on whether the participant is an African resident or student.
