Amazing paper mache Halloween pumpkin! Paper Clay and details

How to make an awesome paper mache pumpkin, Step two. In this step you will learn how to add all the detail to your pumpkin using paper clay.

Below is a list of materials you will need in order to complete this step in this series on how to make a pumpkin.

1. Paper clay - at least 2 Batches
2. Bowl of water - to keep hands clean and hep smooth and blend paper clay together
3. Metal Spoon
4. Assorted sculpting tools
5. Paint brushes
6. Some kind of plastic mat
7.Your Hands - They are your go to tool

The first thing you will need to do is sketch out the face on your pumpkin armature. Once your happy with the face you have drawn on then trace it out with a marker.

Now that your face is drawn on it's time to start adding the clay to your pumpkin. Start off by turning your pumpkin upside down and cover the bottom with clay. Once the bottom is covered turn your pumpkin over and set it down on your plastic sheet or mat. At this point you will add all the features to the face with your paper clay.

Once you have your face detailed out then cover the rest of your pumpkin with paper clay creating crazy ridges for an amazing look. Now set your paper mache pumpkin out to dry..
