Who knew that you could enjoy Cabo on your own on a budget?!

We consistently rely on apps like Alltrails to deliver one of a kind experiences. Not only is it an easy day trip from Los Cabos, but it was CHEAP!

Santa Rita (Agua Termales) Hot Springs:

Ok, so who wants to sit in a Jacuzzi-like hot spring on a hot sunny day? We do. AFTER a nice refreshing swim in the cool springs just in front of and just past the hot spring. When we got there on a hot day, we cooled off in the cold spring. Once we cooled off we headed over to the hot spring. Then back to the cold spring. We pay a lot back home to enjoy this experience at the Scandinavian Bath Spas. Here at the Rancho Ecologico Santa Rita it is simply 172 pesos/person, $9 USD, or $12.25 CAD.

Not only is the experience budget-friendly, but the surrounding oasis will take your breath away. It's just past the very small and sleepy town of Santiago. It's an hour and a half drive from Cabo San Lucas and an hour's drive from San Jose del Cabo.

Rancho Ecologico Sol De Mayo Waterfall:

This is a lovely Oasis and swimming hole with fresh clean water fed by a lagoon. You can hike to the bottom of the waterfall and enjoy the view and swim in the falls. You can also hike to the top of the falls and check out the lagoon. We opted to hike down. Be careful going down, it's very steep but there are ropes and hand rails. The hike down took about 7 minutes. The fee to get in was 220 pesos/person which is $15 CAD or $12 USD.

The water is cool and refreshing which is perfect for a hot day in BAJA. It was an easy hour's drive from San Jose del Cabo, and an hour and a half from Cabo San Lucas. If you are in the area you also have to check out Santa Rita Hot Springs!
