Amnesty International says the flow of weapons into Iraq is fueling war crimes by Shia Muslim militias - who are backed by the Iraqi government.

Amnesty has also accused the militias of committing human rights abuses.

The criticism comes as Iraqi troops advance further into the city of Mosul to confront ISIL fighters - with the help of US troops.
