Today, we're talking about how declining birth rates in America and Europe are fueled by the conditionality of love and participation within the family and household by patriarchal men.

We look at the recent WSJ article (linked at bottom) outlining how financial incentives have not increased birthrates across Europe and briefly touch upon a Bloomberg report of how abortion bans in the US have resulted in over 65,000 forced births.

Ultimately, state policies to incentivize or punish women into birthing more children are not addressing the core issue.

Many childless by choice women - not all, but many - are rejecting the family formula under patriarchy where a man's love and participation in the labor of home and family raising is conditional while a woman's role is unconditional. Regardless of whether a man fulfills his responsibilities to his family, a woman must be on call 24/7 to meet all needs and shoulder all responsibilities without condition.

Families are systems of faith and patriarchy instructs women to faithfully and unconditionally fulfill her duties 24/7. Women must sacrifice self first so men can continue to prioritize self first - above and before the needs of his family. This unreasonable dynamic - unconditional requirements of the mother to ensure the conditionality and empowerment of the father is fundamentally why many women do not seek to procreate with men.
