आवश्यक सामग्री | Ingredients

आटे के लिए (For Dough):

2 कप गेहूं का आटा (Whole Wheat Flour)
1/2 छोटी चम्मच नमक (Salt)
1 छोटी चम्मच चीनी (Sugar)
1 छोटी चम्मच इंस्टेंट यीस्ट (Instant Yeast) (या 1.5 छोटी चम्मच ड्राई यीस्ट)
1/2 कप गुनगुना पानी (Lukewarm Water) (यीस्ट एक्टिवेट करने के लिए)
1 बड़ा चम्मच घी या तेल (Ghee or Oil)


भरावन के लिए (For Filling):

2 बड़े चम्मच तिल (Sesame Seeds)
2 बड़े चम्मच अखरोट (Walnuts - chopped)
1/2 छोटी चम्मच नमक (Salt)
1 बड़ा चम्मच ताज़ा धनिया (Fresh Coriander - chopped)
3-4 लहसुन की कलियां (Garlic - finely chopped)
2 हरी मिर्च (Green Chilies - finely chopped)
1 छोटी चम्मच जीरा (Cumin Seeds)
1 छोटी चम्मच धनिया के दाने (Coriander Seeds - coarsely crushed)
1 छोटा प्याज (Onion - finely chopped)


Himachali Siddu, also known simply as "Siddu," is a traditional steamed bread or bun originating from the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is a popular delicacy in the region and is often enjoyed as a breakfast item or snack.

The Siddu is typically made from wheat flour(Super fine) dough that is stuffed with a walunts, dal, mixture of dry fruits(sweet) along with spices such as cumin seeds, coriander, and sometimes even paneer (Indian cottage cheese). The dough is then shaped into small balls, flattened, and steamed until cooked through.

Siddu is usually served hot with ghee (clarified butter), butter,or chutney. It's cherished not only for its delicious taste but also for its nutritional value and the comfort it brings, especially during the cold winter months in the hilly regions of Himachal Pradesh.
