Kylie Jenner started the wig trend, Taylor Swift started glitter lips in music videos, anyone else wanna take credit for something that’s been going on for years?
Let’s just get one thing straight here, Taylor, without a doubt, looked GORGEOUS in the ‘I Don’t Wanna Live Forever’ music video with her red hot glitter lips courtesy of Pat McGrath’s glittery collection, but the singer said something really outrageous regarding those lippies that had many rolling their eyes. In a behind-the-scenes look at the filming of the visual, Taylor was filmed getting her makeup done and during the time the makeup artist put the finishing touches on her beautiful glittery lips, Tay Tay made this claim…
Wait up, hold the phone. Sorry Taylor, but glitter lips have been done for quite some time now. Ke$ha, who is the queen of glitter, I might add, did it in her We R Who We R music video…
Miley Cyrus covered her lips and a good majority of her face with glitter in her Dooo It video two years ago…
When Missy Elliott made her come back with ‘Where They From,’ she rocked glitter lips.
Side note, Missy also rocked glitter lips in her ‘I’m Better’ music video. And I’m pretty sure Ariana had a glittery lippy on in her ‘Break Free’ music video.
Well, it’s either a glittery lip or sugary lips. Either way, they were poppin’ and let’s be real for a second, the glitter lip trend is becoming more and more popular by second because it’s only now being incorporated in everyday life. And because who doesn’t love glitter?
