According to the report , Phelps and Nicole Johnson were married in June 2016 in Paradise Valley, Arizona. It was reportedly officiated by Phelps' agent, Peter Carlisle.

In a Facebook Live on Tuesday night, someone asked Phelps why he had a black ring on his finger.

His response: "I'm getting married soon. So I figure I might as well try to see what it feels like." (It's around the 7:50 mark). He also noted that the ring was on his right hand, not his left.

Minutes later, people continued to ask questions about the wedding.

Someone asked about the wedding date. Phelps said, "that is super secret. You guys will know soon, probably."


Moments later, "I'm not married yet."

But, TMZ's report , and apparent copy of the marriage license would say otherwise.
