The Guinness Guru Is Feared By Bartenders | The Six O'Clock Show

Daragh Curran (The Guinness Guru) chats to Kamal and Grainne about quitting his day job to rate pints of Guinness. He talks about the process of going into a pub and explaining what he's there to do.

He mentions how most Irish bartenders couldn't care less about him but younger ones who know of his account are terrified when he comes in. He tells the story of getting a pint at the Croke Park Hotel and how the young bartenders were scrambling to pour the perfect pint when he came in.

Daragh goes on to explain his metrics for reviewing Guinness and tells Kamal and Grainne what makes the perfect pint.

It has to be an old Guinness glass, a good dome and it has to look as good after it has been drank as before. Even the atmosphere of the pub also plays a large role.
