CNC Project

In the previous videos we looked at the building of the metal frame work and the plywood table to support our CNC project, Now I take you through the Electrical Panel and the Gantry wiring. the electrics are divided into three parts,

The Gantry including Stepper Wiring, Limit Switches and Cable management :-    • CNC Project #4a - The Gantry Wiring  

The Control Panel including Power Supplies, Gecko Controllers, Arduino and again Cable Management

Finally a few words of wisdom that I learned along the way... Oh and what happens when an Arduino UNO and 24V get together... Its HOT :)

Extrusions are from SNB Solutions https://snbinc.ca/store/index.php who now have additional plates and extrusions for building bigger and better CNC Machines to meet pretty much any ones needs along with numerous other parts including electronics in support of your project, ask for SAM

Biggest tip on the wiring, consider the possibility of having to replace or upgrade things at a later date, how easy is it to replace a gantry plate for instance. I changed my wiring part in to anticipate changing an end plate by not using the holes in the plate for the wires
