Hi everyone! As a HUGE fan of the Stardew Valley video game, it would be an understatement to say that I was beyond excited to dive into the board game! Stardew Valley is a world I'd happily spend countless hours in.. (400+ so far) so I decided to create my own (unofficial) epic campaign variant to recreate the freedom and relaxed vibe of getting lost exploring this beautiful world. I hope you enjoy it!

Maggie's Unofficial Stardew Valley Epic Solo Campaign variant: the ‘Efficient Completionist’

Aim: complete all bundle cards that come with the game, all 8 grandpa goals, build all buildings, have gained all animals, fill the museum, and have befriended every villager in the deck over a span of 5 games (game years) or less.

Variation to set up:
Create a master deck made up of 5 game years, stacked. So 5 sets of 4 cards of each season starting with spring at the top & winter at the bottom. (Regular season deck x5 so all cards are included)
Make 4 stacks of 2 grandpa goals each.
Place all bundle cards that come in the box, arranged by their room type. All bundle cards are face up except for the top one which is face down and must be revealed in the usual way, by paying a heart per player.
The game plays as usual with the exception that you do not need to complete any number of goals by end of game 1. You have a maximum of 5 games to accomplish everything so you can choose to focus on whatever you want for each game.

End of year (individual game) clean-up:
Any accomplished grandpa goals and bundled can be removed from the campaign.
Any built buildings may stay, if you are able to pay half their gold cost at end of game
You may keep any animals currently in your farm as long as you’ve been able to keep the building that house them.
Any happy animals flip back to their neutral side.
Friended villagers may stay if you are able to give them a heart or a gift they love at end of year (winter).
Tools may also stay, but they downgrade by 1 level. You nay change to a different tool, but if you do, this tool starts at level 0.
Any museum donations can stay
Any reached mine level can remain
Leftover money (after paying for buildings you want to keep) is donated back to the supply. This represents money spent on gifts and charity donation during the holiday season.
You will always start a new year/game with 3 coins
Profession upgrades and acquired items may stay
Any Joja tiles on the board, will remain on the board for the new year.
-Reset the 4 season-end cards to break up the season cards for the new year/game.

If you’re not able to complete everything by game 5, set up another year/game by shuffling discarded season cards from previous years.
