Aindhu Veetu Swamy temple is said to be more than 300 years old, located at Chettiyapathu village Thoothukudi district which is situated at 9 kms from Thiruchendur and 2 kms from Udankudi. There are 6 moolavar ( Aathi Swamy, Periya Swamy, Vayanaperumal, Anandammal, Thirupuzhi Alwar, Periyapiratti) with 5 sannathis in one compound therefore the temple is called Aindhu Veetu Swamy. Out of six moolavar only Periya Swamy has statue. No Rajagopuram & mandapam. People of any caste can do the pooja themselves. Aathiswamy here is the oldest God and is in the form of Sudalaimada Swamy.
The Prasadam given here is called Thirumani and is believed to cure any kind of diseases and fulfil our wishes.
