1. Do Ji Han's role in "Hwarang", is Shilla's most powerful person Park Yeong-sil's son who is handsome, competitive, intelligent and has a strong ego. He is a cold-blooded Jin-gol who falls in love with his rival's sister and resembles "Romeo and Juliet" but in the Shilla version.

Why? Because Ban Ryu and Soo Yeon's families hate each other, their father were on different sides, but they still managed to fall deeply in love.

2. Lee Da In played Kim Soo Yeon, the younger sister of Soo Ho who falls in love with her brother's enemy, Ban Ryu.

I like Soo Yeon's character more and wish that this drama is about her and Ban Ryu. Soo Ho's sister is way more interesting and likeable than Aro. Aro's character is so flat. Her constant frowning makes me dislike her character.

Ban Ryu and Soo Yeon are the typical "Romeo and Juliet" scheme with a spunky Juliet and smitten Romeo. In what can be described as as "Romeo and Juliet" esque romance (except withouth death), the love that flourishes between Ban Ryu and Soo Yeon develops into something that is sweet enough to make you squeal.

I am loving the Soo Yeon and Ban Ryu storyline! They are clearly made for each other. My favorite couple for sure!

I just wish she would stop bashing her brother in the head and explain for once! Poor Soo Ho 😅

Ban Ryu is very stoic and straight faced, he's so intense but deep down has a beautiful heart, and he just needed time to open up a bit, and when he does it makes my heart swell, especially when he interacts with Soo Yeon.

The scary Ban Ryu turned into a shy damsel when Soo Yeon is around. The boy is shy in front of his crush, which is too adorable. He acted so tough in the beginning, but he was so soft and shy in front of Soo Yeon.

The actor (Do Ji Han) is doing a really great job that I wish Ban Ryu has more screentime as he is the most interesting character in the drama.

Did everyone notice how Ban Ryu whipped around to slay somebody but then his entire countenance just melted down to awkward bashfulness when he saw it was Soo Yeon who grabbed his hand? Ban Ryu looks so flustered. It's adorable 😍 Aaahhhh, he is so cute. I am melted.

My boy Ban Ryu is all but a puddle of cuteness and awkwardness in front of her. Ban Ryu is so precious. The whole outward tough persona melts when he is around her.

The way he smiled every time he read her letters and how he was all flustered when she grabbed his hand is just love.

You have no idea how much I replay that scene when Ban Ryu whipped his head, ready to chew whomever dared to touch him, only to turn into a shy puppy when he saw Soo Yeon.

I admired Do Ji Han's acting when his expression moved from furious to shock to shy/embarrased in front of Soo Yeon. This guy really has talent. Director-nims over there, please give this guy more roles.

On the other hand, Soo yeon is amazing too when she just calmly deal with the raging Soo Ho. Gosh, I love her.
