Well the cat is out of the bag for Holter Lake. We grow big Kokanee here. Where they came from no one is 100% sure but they are here for now at least. Best guess is these are stocked fish the have been washed over the dam above this lake where they have been stocked the previous years. Thankfully, even though there's a big influx of people, these fish are meant to be caught and harvested as this is their last year. However, as you can see we put some back for someone else to catch and eat. We encourage those to harvest within expectation of consumption. Not just keep to keep. Please be responsible with these fisheries.
