To hide his shame, Minos ordered Daedalus to build a maze so vast no one could escape. Inside, the Minotaur feasted on human sacrifices year after year—until the hero Theseus entered with a simple thread of string. After a brutal fight, he struck the beast down… but legends say its spirit still wanders the maze.
