#Inktober

October 2024 will be a special month - that is because I am taking on the challenge of colouring 31 small illustrations from one of my favourite artists, Rita Berman, using as inspiration the #inktober2024 official prompts. I am no artist, nor do I use ink to create illustrations. But I have a love for creativity and a desire to practice and improve, and this is what I want to use the spirit of the #inktober challenge for.

Hope this is ok with all of you. I will be sharing my Inktober colouring journey with you on YouTube in each day of October.

Why this channel?

When I was in secondary school, the subject I got consistently low grades in was art class.

I made it mean I was not good enough: I lacked talent and I'd better look for something else to do with my life because painting was not going to be it for me.

Decades later, after taking a completely different career path, I am giving myself the chance to learn art again. Colouring, drawing, painting, sketching and illustrating. I’m trying them all.
