Flourishing in Healthcare

Описание к видео Flourishing in Healthcare

Webinar hosted by the RCGP GP Special Interest Group for Creative Health in partnership with the National Centre for Creative Health (NCCH).

Exploring from three different perspectives how creativity can support clinical growth and connection.

Perspectives include flourishing in:
Medical education by Professor Louise Younie
Clinician wellbeing by Megan Tjasink
From a student perspective by Elle Tallgren

To speak of flourishing helps to move the wellbeing conversation beyond the idea of resilience and toughing it out alone, towards something more interpersonal and ecological, connecting our inner lives with the ebb and flow of loss and renewal, death and growth.

Flourishing is about connection with our values, with purpose and meaning (Aristotle’s eudaimonia), engaging with compassion towards our own humanity and that of others.

In this webinar we explored the concept of flourishing through creative enquiry, growth, connection and art making from three different perspectives. After presenting some ideas around flourishing through the arts in healthcare, we opened the floor for questions.
