How To Pour And Finish BLACK Colored Concrete (We cheated by using this stuff)

We're pouring this patio with black colored concrete. The color we added to the concrete is actually deep charcoal from Butterfield Colors. This integral color for concrete really turns the concrete black. After adding the color to the mixer truck, we let it mix for about 10 minutes. Now, the concrete is ready to pour. This was a good-sized front patio on this house. It was just Luke and I pouring and finishing the concrete. The weather was sunny, hot, and windy making for a difficult pour. The wind wanted to dry out the surface so we had to use a finishing aid to help smooth the concrete's surface. It worked, and we didn't have any time to rest after pouring. We had to jump right back on the slab and start finishing.
