3 Fast Growing & Easy Hardy Palm Ideas for UK Tropical Style Gardens

Today's video is a look at some of the fastest growing palm 'trees' in my UK tropical style jungle garden - these hardy palms have grown really well since we moved to our house (/garden!) in 2020! If you're looking for easy, low maintenance and tough evergreen plants to add a sense of the exotic plus some valuable height and structure to your garden then you won't go wrong with a hardy palm. Resilient enough to survive freezes and hard frosts without protection across the majority of UK gardens in the majority of winters, the beautiful plants also grow well in our often cooler and wetter summers unlike a lot of truly tropical plants. I look at the growth rate of a couple of fast-growing Trachycarpus windmill fan palms in my garden including an exciting hybrid palm - both growing around 1ft / 300mm of trunk a year once settled in and despite transplanting along with a hardy Butia feather palm which gives a real tropical garden effect.
