Milk with a mission: the Kangri Metok Journey

Making organic yak yoghurt at 11,000 feet ? If ten years ago you would had told me that I would spend months every year in a remote valley working with Tibetan nomads to try to produce the first ‘clean and just’ yoghurt while providing the community with a fair and stable income , I would have thought you were crazy , but I guess I’m the crazy one ! As you know, I’m not the knitter of the mYak team and today I want to tell you a little more about the other big project I have been working on and ask for your support.

Milk with a mission . Kangri Metok is not just a dream; it’s a life project, and not only my life, but the life of a wonderful team focused on a common goal and that of 1200 nomadic families who have believed in this project for years in order to create something stable and sustainable for them and for future generations.

For many, this is the only possibility to continue to live in harmony with nature in this wonderful territory. We are at a turning point; everything is ready, including our exquisite yogurt. However, many families live in very remote areas, and with our own resources, we cannot organize the collection of their milk.
That's why we need help to achieve the sustainability of our supply chain, which is an objective close to be reached, and to see the smiles of our nomadic friends in their land for many years to come!

Asking for help, is not something that come easy to us, but they wonderful creative community has always be kind yo us and supportive of our work.
