How does it work?

A saturated salt solution (prepared by dissolving table salt in water until no more salt will dissolve) creates a stable environment with about 75% relative humidity. This effect occurs because the salt lowers the vapor pressure of water, establishing a precise and reproducible equilibrium. To use this method, place your sensor and the saturated salt solution in a sealed container and wait approximately 24 hours for equilibrium to be reached.
