Sindh’s educational landscape is entering a new digital era as all provincial boards prepare to adopt e-marking, scanning, and QR code software for matric and intermediate exams starting in 2026. The official launch of the e-marking system will take place on December 4 in Karachi, attended by heads of 29 educational boards and officials from the Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen.
Under this initiative, the Federal Education Board will provide advanced software for e-marking, scanning, barcodes, QR codes, and marking criteria. A specialized committee, Digitization and Technology Implementation in Education Boards, has been formed to oversee the entire digital transition.
With QR-enabled papers, distributed marking, and strict quality controls, the new system aims to ensure accuracy, transparency, and fairness in assessments. Training sessions for Sindh board teams will be held in Islamabad, followed by full-scale implementation for the 2026 intermediate exams in pre-engineering and pre-medical groups.
