I fitted a VidaXL Pool skimmer to my 10 foot steel frame pool.
I had an issue with the screws being too tight for the holes.
I sorted the problem by drilling the holes out with a size 5 drill bit, then used a 5½ to drill a few millimetres in, just to get the screw to seat in the hole. Drill too far in and you won't get the screw to bite.
The screws are difficult to tighten once connected, and will need to be forced in order to stop any leaks.
The up side is, you'll have a healthier pool once this is fitted.
In all, with drilling the holes out, it took me less than an hour to fit.
