Cat Tree - building multilevel cat entertainment center

This white cedar tree trunk has branches like a cactus, with many places to attach the floor joists. Each higher level acts as a partial roof, providing some sun and rain protection while still balancing the overall weight distribution. I would have liked to dig a deeper three foot hole but hit solid bedrock so the extra legs add stability, help cats climb and serve as scratching posts! Most of the boards used are also white cedar because of how light and rot resistant it is.
