ASTEC Active Anchor (AAA): GFRP Post-Tensioned Ground Anchor | Grand Paris Express Metro Project

ASTEC Active Anchor (AAA) is a GFRP Post-Tensioned Geotechnical system using an unmatched hybrid composite/steel system, used in deep foundations applications. It comes as a competitive alternative to removable steel anchors where leaving steel in the ground is to be avoided. The composite material is a Glass-Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) bar, that can be left in the ground without creating an obstruction to future tunneling or construction work.

D’ancrage active ASTEC (AAA) est un système géotechnique post-contraint, utilisant une technologie hybride unique mariant acier et matériaux composites, et utilisé dans les fondations profondes. C’est une alternative économique aux tirants d’ancrages démontables en acier, lorsqu’il est impossible de laisser des aciers dans les sols. Le matériau composite est un polymère renforcé de longue fibre de verre ; communément appelé GFRP en anglais ; et qui peut être laisse dans les sols sans créer d’obstructions aux travaux souterrains de tunnels et de construction.
