Allah says in the Quran:

Arabic: يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ وَأُنثَىٰ وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا

Transliteration: Ya ayyuhan-nas, inna khalaqnakum min dhakarin wa untha, wa ja'alnakum shu'uban wa qaba'ila lita'arafu

Common Translation: "O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes so that you may know one another."

We usually hear "so you may know one another."

But let's go DEEPER into the Quranic language.

The REAL meaning:

"So that you all can COMPLEMENT each other."

Allah made us:

Different races
Different ethnicities
Different tribes
Different nationalities
Different regions

Not just so we can "get to know each other."

But so we can COMPLEMENT one another.

In SPITE of our differences, we NEED each other.

Your strengths cover my weaknesses. My gifts complement yours. Your culture enriches mine.

We're not just "different" for the sake of diversity. We're different so we can COMPLETE each other.

When you take the time to find where we COALESCE—where we come together—you realize we're STRONGER together than apart.

That's what the verse is teaching us.

Stop seeing differences as divisions. See them as COMPLEMENTARY.
