Cobia fishing is legit up here on the Chesapeake Bay - and sight casting them is totally the way to cobia fish in my fishery! This cobia catch and cook is all about sushi and sashimi. During the dead of summer - Cobia fishing gets a little difficult (as you see here in Exhibit A in this video) because the cobia come up to the Chesapeake Bay to spawn - and in July is pretty much when they have spawning on their mind, not as much the food. The Cobia Fishing is getting better with each day and expect to see more Cobia Fishing vids popped off here in the next few weeks!

You can catch Cobia Sight Casting and Chumming. Cobia Swim on top looking for food and just because they feel like it sometimes- Cobia are kind of a dumb fish and will eat almost anything you put in front of their face - but when they have spawning on the brain it's difficult. If you are lucky enough to get the opportunity to come cobia fish in Virginia Beach or the Outer Banks come on up here and give Aaron Beatson or Ben Morris a call - they are 2 great friends who are legit guides that do this everyday and don't go 0-5 like I do cobia fishing.
