Mantis debuted at Cedar Point as the world's highest, fastest, steepest stand-up roller coaster in May of 1996.

In the fall of 2014 the coaster gave its last ride and Cedar Point announced they were converting it to a sit-down, floorless roller coaster with new trains and renaming the ride, Rougarou.

Rougarou is set to debut when the park opens in 2015.

This video is a look back to 20 years prior when the park released this promotional video for the original Mantis roller coaster.
