American Hometown: Hugs Cafe story screener

Just a few miles north of Dallas, Texas is an American Hometown that prides itself on it’s uniqueness… the city of McKinney. Although it is a unique city, one thing that it has in common with everyone’s hometown in America, is that it’s alive with small businesses… owned and operated by people just like you and me who live in the community… but don’t get a whole lot of notice.

So, I set out on this American Hometown journey, early in 2020, to give these places a spotlight and let them tell their story. Places like Hugs Café, for instance. A small business with a huge purpose... one that has faced a lot of challenges, recently, because of COVID-19... but has managed to face these obstacles head-on and with determination to keep on growing and fulfilling their mission of bringing meaningful employment to adults with special needs in their American hometown.

This American Hometown story is not done, yet.
