ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ವಸಂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜೇಶ್ ದಂಪತಿಗಳು ಉತ್ತಮ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು. ಮೂವರೂ ವೈದ್ಯರು. ರಾಜೇಶ್ ಬೇರೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ಕ್ಲಿನಿಕ್ ಅನ್ನು ವಸಂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್‌ಗೆ ಬಿಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ತನ್ನ ಹೊಸ ಕೆಲಸದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜೇಶ್‌ಗೆ ಒಂಟಿತನ ಕಾಡುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನು ಆಗಾಗ್ಗೆ ಕುಡಿಯಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಅವನು ವಸಂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗಲು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಅವನು ಸಾಯುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅತಿಯಾದ ಮದ್ಯಪಾನದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಹೃದಯಾಘಾತದಿಂದ ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಮರಣೋತ್ತರ ವರದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಸತ್ಯವು ಯೋಚಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಗೊಂದಲಮಯವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಣಮಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

Couple Vasanthi and Rajesh are good friends with Manjunath. All three are physicians. Rajesh shifts to another town and leaves his clinic to Vasanthi and Manjunath. Loneliness haunts Rajesh at his new work place and he starts to drink frequently. Once when he is home to meet Vasanthi and his daughter, he dies. The post-mortem report states that he died of a heart attack because of heavy drinking. The truth, however, turns out to be murkier than thought.
