How do offerings at temple or rituals serve the purpose of LOKA-KALYANA?

One important understanding wrt to temple offerings is that anything we offer to God will come back to us either in the form of Prasadam or in the form of some type of fortune (health, wealth, knowledge etc). So whenever we offer something to the deity, it is distributed back to the devotees - so the significance here is the belief that it is touched upon or partially consumed by the consecrated deity & returned to everyone. When we consume that blessed & energised Prasadam, it can elate our mind & emotions in a positive way.

Offerings done during rituals such as Yajna have a significance of purifying the environment, also meant for pleasing the Gods that govern the universe. They are satisfied, they’ll bless us with a safe & liveable environment/nature which benefits everyone!

We’ve ignored this and the attitude behind this for a very long time now (as a species!) and as a result we are witnessing or experiencing these natural disasters.

This is a beautiful Indian philosophy that promotes balance between humans & the nature. That’s an important aspect of self realisation as per Hinduism.
