Nintendo Switch Screen Replacement - LCD & Digitizer Replacement

Описание к видео Nintendo Switch Screen Replacement - LCD & Digitizer Replacement

The Nintendo Switch has a plastic screen. While this is great to prevent breakage (glass screens are easier to break) it also means that they are more likely to get scratched (they are much easier to scratch than glass screens). I highly recommend installing a glass screen protector to help prevent scratches. This is especially important since there have already been reports of screens being scratched on these consoles.
To replace the digitizer or the LCD screen the console must be partially torn apart but the nice thing is that you don't even have to remove the motherboard. The back case needs to be removed and the ribbon cables for both the digitizer and the LCD screen need to be removed from their connectors as well.
After those steps it's just a matter of heating the digitizer then removing it using plastic pry tools. The LCD screen has no adhesive so it's easy to remove from the frame of the Switch. The ribbon cables need to be handled very gently as they are easy to tear.
Once these steps are done it's just a matter of reassembling the console.
