Derick never lost hope nor his positivity after losing his leg in a motorbike accident in 2017. His family has always been there for him and pushes him to do better and not seeing his amputation as a limitation. Derick also describes his work at an NGO as his long-awaited dream which only happend because he had to change careers after his accident.
