GSMTS, Feb 2024: Capitol Free-mo Cab Ride

It's Train Show Time again! No layout visits (aside from the CapFreeMo layout, which was connected with the Northeast Corridor Historical Society), but we do have a setup, a packdown, and a cab ride along most of the CFM/NECHS layout including the 56-foot long Reading Bridge module.

This is the layout/cab ride video. We begin on the brand-new return loop at the far end of the Free-mo layout. We pass over Rotorex, Monocacy Creek, Smith's Siding, Donnelley Terminal, Mathis Creek, Edgewood Road, Larry's Farm, Capitol Curve, Farm Crossing, Orphan, Glade Road, Trap Rock, Drill and Brown's Yard, and Panic.

We head "west" over the Susquehanna River over 56' of module to reach the NECHS layout - four tracks of speed running representing the Northeast Corridor, particularly around the Philadelphia area. Modern era meets historic times with all sorts of trains that would have been seen - I was happy to take a couple of Norfolk Southern Freight Trains for a loop or two around the circuit!
