Political Equations in UP after Mulayam Singh Yadav: BJP eyeing OBC, Yadav Votes | Third Eye

In this episode of Third Eye, senior journalist and founding editor of The Public India Anand Vardhan Singh talks about the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, former Defence Minister of India, and veteran socialist leader Mulayam Singh Yada who passed away on Monday morning in Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon after a long ailment. The founder of the Samajwadi Party also called Dharti Putra has left behind Akhilesh Yadav, now the National President of SP and former Chief Minister of UP. Anand Vardhan Singh recalls a few memorable incidents of Mulayam Singh Yadav’s career and his contributions as a Socialist Leader and defense minister of India.
He also talks about the possible political questions in Uttar Pradesh in the absence of Mulayam Singh as Akhilesh Yadav doesn’t seem to be that much of a leader who can hold and bind the socialist leaders. Several BJP leaders, along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi have expressed their grief, and apparently, they are more concerned than expected. The hyperactivity among BJP leaders shows that they are eyeing OBC and Yadav voters, that are expected to detach from Akhilesh Yadav.
