With these woodworking tricks I’ll get the best out of this mortising attachment with square hole drill bit for drill press. I made a base plate for the parts that will hold the workpieces where we want to make the mortises for the mortise and tenon joints. This base plate will allow me to drill the mortises with the square hole drill bit in almost any position. Also, in this woodworking video we see how to correctly adjust the drill bit inside the hollow square chisel. One problem I found is that the piece that holds the square hole drill bit under the chuck didn’t fit well in my drill press despite the four adapter rings that come with the kit for different sizes. Something easy to fix with a strip of plastic cut from a bottle.
