Genesee Live #37: River Lynch & The Spiritmakers

It would be hard to not miss seeing River Lynch's name pop up in the Rochester music press these days. This emerging singer-songwriter has been keeping himself quite occupied these days ever since his debut EP, There Goes The Heart, was released earlier this year. River's retro inspired rock n' roll carries much of the appeal of his influences such as The Beatles, early Wilco and Drive-By Truckers to name a few. Since the release of his EP, River and his band The Spiritmakers have been slowly expanding their presence beyond Rochester, playing gigs in NYC and other towns across the northeast, proving once again that Rochester's talented music community is a force to be reckoned with. We caught up with River and The Spiritmakers in the studio performing their EP and a few new tunes.
