The 1899 Fiat 3½ HP at the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run

The London to Brighton Veteran Car Run is the world's oldest, most prestigious veteran car event, held on the first Sunday in November every year.

More than four hundred cars, all produced before 1905, took part in the 2019 edition.
As a fitting celebration of the Fiat brand's 120th anniversary, FCA Heritage took part in the event by entering one of the just four cars of the Fiat 3½ HP model, the first ever built by the Turin firm, still extant. It was with this two or three-seater “vis-à-vis” car, designed by Aristide Faccioli, that Fiat travelled the first miles in a story still very much alive today.

The car is normally on display at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu.

La London to Brighton Veteran Car Run è la più antica e prestigiosa manifestazione al mondo riservata alle vetture veteran e si corre ogni anno la prima domenica di novembre.

All'edizione 2019 hanno preso parte oltre quattrocento automobili, tutte prodotte prima del 1905.
Per celebrare degnamente il 120° anniversario del marchio Fiat, FCA Heritage ha partecipato all’evento schierando uno dei quattro esemplari ancora esistenti della mitica Fiat 3 1/2 HP, la prima vettura in assoluto costruita dalla Casa torinese. Si tratta di una due-tre posti “vis-à-vis” progettata dall’Ing. Aristide Faccioli: grazie a lei, Fiat ha percorso i primi chilometri di una storia che vive ancora oggi.

La vettura è normalmente in esposizione presso il National Motor Museum di Beaulieu.
