In his column, former IAS officer Sanjeev Chopra writes, “The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) acted swiftly, yes, but the loopholes were not detected by the system. After all, someone in the system helped her fudge her identity, ‘accepted’ her unauthorised medical certificate, and missed the fact that she had made more attempts than she was entitled to. This someone is not one individual; many or all of them may still be in service.”
