Talking about Money in Japanese

In this video I talk about expressions related to money. We make comments about money every day, ask price and talk about cost of doing something. I guess many of you already know phrases like 「いくらですか」「高いです」「安いです」, but I suppose not all of you know that in many situations Japanese people ask price adding する after いくら, say 「いくらしますか」. There are also some phrases you can use when evaluating a price. In English also, people use other phrases than "expensive" and "cheap", you can also say words like "hefty" "costly" "pricey" "economical" "reasonable", to make a comment about a price. Each word has its unique nuance and people use it in different situations in different ways and it's the same in Japanese. People surely do use phrases like 「高いです」「安いです」, and don't call me Shirley, but there are also many other phrases that Japanese people use very often in daily conversation that have some unique nuances. So, in this video, I will introduce to you phrases related to money that Japanese people very often use, yet these phrases are often neglected in textbooks.
