Bakhmut holds on: both Ukraine and Russia fight 'very tough', streets turned into battlefield

Ukraine and Russia’s battle for Bakhmut rages on, and the streets turn into a battlefield.

Ukrainian military Ihor is tightly gripping the German machine gun, and targeting one of the enemy positions.

But Ukrainian forces are repelling all Russian attempts to capture the town, the commander of Ukrainian ground forces Colonel general Oleksandr Syrskyi said on March 13.

Meanwhile, close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin and head of Russian mercenary group Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin said the closer his fighters get to the centre of the city the harder the fighting becomes and the more artillery and tanks target his soldiers.
