I Gaze in Your Eyes (A Swell Party 1991)

"A Swell Party - A Celebration of Cole Porter" opened at the Vaudeville Theatre in London, 1991. It was, as the title would suggest, a musical revue of songs by the legendary Cole Porter.

Martin was featured in the show both as a pianist, and a soloist performing "Love For Sale", "Begin the Beguine", "Rap Tap on Wood", and "I Gaze in Your Eyes".

"I Gaze in Your Eyes" had lyrics by Cole Porter, but never had music set to it. Ann Hampton Callaway posthumously provided music for the song, and it was featured in "A Swell Party", and sung by Martin. It is one of his most beautiful recordings.
