The RIGHT WAY to use your Power Station's UPS Mode

Описание к видео The RIGHT WAY to use your Power Station's UPS Mode

While many new power stations have a UPS (or EPS) feature that switches from grid power to battery power if grid power turns off, they aren't setup by default for ideal battery health. When using these modes, the power station will always charge the battery to 100% (in addition to powering the load via the AC inverter).

However, it is not recommended to leave a lithium battery at 100% SOC all the time - and this is true for both NMC and LFP. Using the app, check if there is a setting to limit the maximum charge level. If so, try changing it to 70 or 80%, so the power station will stop charging once it hits those levels.

Doing this is ideal for long-term use of the UPS mode - if you are only using it for a day (due to bad weather etc) then 100% is more than fine and of course that will give you more capacity to work with if the power does go out.
