Dr. Gorman: Hi, this is our spaceship. Actually this is our three-dimensional conformation machine. And a three dimensional conformation machine, what it does is it takes X rays of the hard tissue bones, the condition of the bone and where there is bone and where there isn’t bone. Where there is air and where there is not air. And we sue this machine for three different reasons. Number one, to take pictures of temporomandibular joint area to see if you have TMJ disease and find the location of your jaw joints and the base of your skull. It also takes pictures of all of your airways so its also good to help diagnose those with sleep issues whether its sleep apnea, snoring, wrestled breathing, whatever the condition it shows us the side of the airway in the nasal index, and your pharynx. Thirdly you can use this machine to check how much bone you have in case you are in need of implants. Another things that it is really good for that we found out after we purchased the machine is that by getting three dimensional pictures of teeth you can really see fi thee are problems he and issues with. Two-dimensional fight x-rays you can’t see areas of disease as easily. But a three dimensional x ray, you can really see if this disease associated with a tooth going to your sinus for example. We had many patients over the last five years that had had sinus issues and once we take a three-dimensional x-ray we realize that the infection and sinus is due to a tooth. Once that truth is treated the sinus infections go away. So this is very multi use. It is fabulous. Every x-ray we take gets sent out to a medical radiologist for a compete medical reading. As many issues from top of your eyes to the base of your neck and the x ray actually covers. There are a lot of medical issues that can be there. I have found people with cervical arthritis, we found people with tumors. We found all kinds of different medical issues and every patient that takes one of these gets a copy of the report radiology and hard disk to take to any MD appropriate to them to get further treatment
