NOTE: This lesson focuses on hyperbole, but I've included idioms and similes as well. I've blurred the the lines, and I offer my apologies to those who distinguish each device more clearly than I have.
👉HYPERBOLE is the use of exaggeration for emphasis.
👉IDIOMS use figurative speech, and it's not always easy to guess the meaning of an idiom because the language is so colorful.
👉SIMILES are comparisons made with "like" or "as."
