HOW TO CONNECT A STUDIO MIC TO ANY RADIO

Here's a video for those who want to connect a studio microphone to their radio and need to put together some type of push to talk switch. In the video, I wire the switch for use with radios that require a receive wire to activate the receiver.

However, even with the switch wired in this way, you can use this push to talk option with any radio and only use the wires that are required to operate your equipment. Just follow the wiring diagram for your radio's mic plug and rewire the 4 pin plug shown in the video to whatever style you need.
