This arrangement was actually created by my subconscious while sitting in my jazz arranging course at UWEC last semester. I had a tune stuck in my head that sounded so familiar to me but for 15 minutes I couldn't place it. I finally figured out that this up tempo swing style song I was hearing was actually the slow ballad "Misty" by Erroll Garner. That gave me instant motivation to see this arrangement to fruition. For extra fun I wrote it in a SATB trombone arrangement and a few borrowed instruments later led to this video! Please enjoy my original arrangement on "Misty".
